If you are new to the sport of lacrosse, you should become familiar with the equipment that is needed to play. Below is a simple listing of the equipment for boys and girls, as they are two distinctly different sports. When purchasing a stick, remember that the boys and girls stick are sport specific. You will notice that a boys stick has a pocket constructed of mesh and is much deeper. The girls stick has a shallow pocket and will have verticle shooting strings typically made of leather or rubber. Ask your local equipment dealer to help you find the correct stick. Also, for younger players the stick may have to be cut down.
